MUSIC MINISTRY

FRONTLINE SINGERS | PRAISE BAND | SOUND & MEDIA

Our Vision Statement

Our vision is to see lives changed in the presence of God. To encourage our congregation to seek a deeper level of worship and reach the highest heights of praise.

Our philosophy is “If the pattern of our praise and worship to God is right, the glory will fall”. All of us are inspired by music. It affects every area of our lives. If we can build a phenomenal Music and Media Ministry, dedicated to bringing people into contact with a very real and awesome God, then we have the potential of changing not only our city, but our nation and world as well.

Our Purpose

Our goal is to effectively minister unto the Lord and to the spiritual needs of our congregation, community and throughout the world through anointed singing, musical accompaniment, media and to provide an outlet for individuals to exercise their and abilities through this areas. Also providing a means of Christian fellowship and activities.

Our Motive

MINISTRY – NOT ENTERTAINMENT. To minister effectively in a dynamic ministering choir, worship team, band and media requires much PRAYER, PRACTICE, and a great amount of FAITHFULNESS.

The Music and Media Ministry at Destin Assembly offers a variety of opportunities for church members and regular attenders interested in using their experience and talents to serve the Lord.

Whether you are continuing your piano studies or are a brand new student, it is important that you are getting what you want from your lessons.

Communication is the key. Please feel free to talk with me at any have about procedures or your lesson assignment. I care about you, and will do my best to see that you prosper in your piano studies.

My mission is to instill in my students a lasting love and respect for music that will enrich their lives for years to come.

Regular attendance is the rule. At times you may not feel ready for your lesson. Come to your lesson anyway. It will be productive for you, regardless of how prepared you feel.

Remember, payment is to be made for lessons not attended.

.. “To repeatedly do something to attempt proficiency”…

Goal-oriented –not time-oriented—practicing is expected to be included in each student´s daily schedule.

The amount of practice time varies depending on the student´s age & level.

Young children do not have the discipline or vision required to understand the need to rehearse, practice, or drill a certain passage or piece in order to improve it.

Parents must assist, encourage, and praise. Smart practice techniques & habits need to be established early and will be routinely discussed at weekly lessons.

Quality and Regularity of practice are the two keys to success. A short practice period when the student is well rested, fully concentrating, and engaged will accomplish more than a longer practice period when the student is tired or distracted. Several short daily practice periods are more effective than on long practice period.

Tuition reserves your exclusive weekly lesson time. There is no reduction in tuition form missed lesson. Tuition is non-refundable.

One month´s notice in writing is required if you wish to discontinue lessons any time during the year. If one month´s notice is not given, you are responsible for the following month´s tuition.

Two make-up lessons will be allowed per year if notice is given 24 hours in advance.

In the event that sudden ill-ness or emergency occurs within 24 hours of a scheduled lesson, such cases will be considered on an individual basis and the two make-up maximum will still apply.

If area schools are closed due to inclement weather on the day of your lesson, you may either attend the lesson as scheduled, or opt to re-schedule that lesson without a penalty.

It is the student´s or parent´s responsibility to contact me to schedule a make-up lesson. Make –ups must be completed within 30 days of the absence or the make-up lesson is forfeited.

If you cancel your make-up lesson, it is forfeited.

Due to the complexity of student´s daily schedules, as well as the need to respect everyone´s time, any lesson cancellation affects the studio significantly.

Consequently, I uphold a strict cancellation policy.
